Found you…

Just the other day I was at the mall with the fams. Dodge and I were on the second level looking down below and doing what every person does at the mall — people watch. Eventually, I turned to Dodge and said, “Let’s go see what’s on the other side.” and I started to walk to the other side of the mall. Once I got there I looked behind me and couldn’t find lil’ Dodge.

Thankfully, I found him right where I left him. It wasn’t a big deal, but for like 30 sec…my heart dropped and there was a huge relief when I saw him standing there.

Think about this, when I found him I didn’t care how we got separated. I wouldn’t have cared if Dodge was licking the railing, riding the escalator alone, standing there screaming, picking up an ipad at the apple store and smashing…I wouldn’t have cared about any of that, because the only thing that mattered is I found him and we were connected again. He would follow me up and down the halls of Lenox mall again.

I love what Jesus says “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:4–7

Man, I can’t wait to be a part of that party! I can’t imagine that type of rejoicing!

Here is the really good news, God doesn’t see you as some rail licking, rule-breaking, ipad smashing failure…He sees you as fully His son and daughter worthy of an unbelievable party!

Is your experience with God a party full of joy and love?
